The National Institute of Technology (NIT) is a student-centric university dedicated to preparing Pakistani and international students to compete globally by offering a high-caliber American curriculum and learning experience powered by Arizona State University, while embracing local values and culture, achieving global academic excellence, forging strong industry linkages, and shaping individuals who thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of industries and global markets as first-principles thinkers, self-learners, and self-starters.
NIT, Pakistan’s premier American-affiliated university, will launch in October 2025, following the awarding of its Federal Charter.
Located in Lahore, the institute will open with two inaugural faculties—the School of Management Sciences and the School of Data Sciences and Information Technology—and will begin accepting applications from May 19, 2025.

Dr. Faisal Bari, a Rhodes Scholar, holds a BA from Oxford and a PhD in Economics from McGill. He has served as Dean at LUMS, and is now Vice Chancellor of NIT Lahore, where he continues to influence education policy and bridge academia with industry.

VICE CHANCELLORShahzeb Shabbir, Founder and Chancellor of NIT, holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London and leads Shabbir & Sagheer Educational Services. Inspired by his father’s legacy, he is launching Pakistan’s first AI-focused university powered by Arizona State University in 2025.
