The National Institute of Technology (NIT) is a federally chartered, next-generation university bringing an American-style academic model to Pakistan through its partnership with Arizona State University ranked #1 most innovative university in the U.S. for eleven consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report (2016-2026). Federal Charter
NIT operates under a Federal Charter, granted through an Act of Parliament and formally recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. It affirms NIT’s status as an independent, degree-awarding university and reflects the Federal Government’s confidence in our mission to deliver world-class education.
The Federal Charter provides NIT with full academic, financial, and administrative autonomy. This independence enables us to:
