We are proud to announce that on April 16, 2025, at Arizona State University’s Tempe campus, the National Institute of Technology (NIT) officially entered into a landmark partnership with Arizona State University (ASU). This historic signing ceremony was attended by Douglas L. Becker (Founder & Chairman of Cintana Education), Michael M. Crow (President of ASU), and Shahzeb Shabbir (Founder & Chancellor of NIT).

This partnership marks a new era for NIT and higher education in Pakistan. By joining forces with ASU – the No.1 ranked university in the U.S. for innovation for 10 consecutive years (2016-2025) by U.S. News & World Report – NIT becomes Pakistan’s first American university. Together, we will bring ASU’s world-class, innovative educational model to Pakistan, offering our students a transformative learning experience. NIT students will benefit from dual-degree pathways (earning degrees from both NIT and ASU) and access to a global network of resources and research. As part of the ASU–Cintana Alliance, NIT is now connected to a worldwide network of leading universities, opening unprecedented opportunities for collaboration and student success. This collaboration is a major step forward in global education, innovation, and student opportunity, and we are excited to shape the future of learning in Pakistan and beyond.
