Dr. Syed Mohammad Irteza

Dr. Irteza has around 19 years of experience in teaching, research, and software development. He completed his PhD in Computer Science in 2018 from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He has published and presented his research work at premier research conferences and reputed journals. His research work has involved collaborations with researchers at LUMS, Michigan State University, UT Austin, Tufts University, Johns Hopkins University, Microsoft Research and Salesforce. He was invited to the Research Summer School at Microsoft Research Cambridge (UK) in 2014. Dr. Irteza won the best in-session presenter award for the load balancing session at IEEE INFOCOM 2017 at Atlanta, USA. Before joining NIT, Dr. Irteza taught at NUCES-FAST, UMT Lahore, GIFT University, LUMS, and Air University (Islamabad). He has also supervised 4 MS theses and many undergraduate final year projects. Dr. Irteza has also spent around four years in the software industry. He was also involved in Prosol Technologies achieving CMMI Level 2, managing requirements documentation for his projects. During his undergraduate studies at LUMS, he was the president of the sports society (SLUMS), and represented LUMS in six different sports. He was captain of the LUMS tennis team.
