BS Entrepreneurial Leadership
Program Overview
The BS in Entrepreneurial Leadership at NIT is designed for students who want to build, lead, and scale ventures—or drive innovation within established organizations. The program develops strategically minded, action-oriented, and ethically grounded leaders equipped to operate in fast-changing, uncertain business environments.
Course Curriculum
Built on strong foundations in management, economics, finance, and technology, the curriculum integrates entrepreneurial thinking with leadership development and strategic decision-making. Students learn how opportunities are identified, how ventures are designed and tested, and how teams and organizations are led through growth and change.
The program emphasizes experiential and project-based learning, exposing students to real-world business challenges through venture development, simulations, and applied coursework. Students develop the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage risk, mobilize teams, and create sustainable value—whether in startups, family enterprises, corporate innovation units, or social ventures.
Students progress from core business and leadership courses into advanced study of entrepreneurship, innovation strategy, venture finance, and organizational leadership. A strong focus on ethics, resilience, and long-term value creation ensures graduates are prepared not only to launch initiatives, but to lead responsibly.
Graduates of the BS in Entrepreneurial Leadership are prepared for leadership and innovation-driven careers, as well as for postgraduate study or accelerator-based venture development pathways.
Accelerated Master’s Degree (4+1 Pathway):
High-performing students in the BS Entrepreneurial Leadership program may pursue a 4+1 Accelerated Master’s Pathway, earning both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in five years. Students complete four years of undergraduate study at NIT, followed by one year of advanced postgraduate education through Arizona State University (ASU).
Developed in collaboration with Arizona State University, this pathway allows students to progress to master’s programs offered by the Thunderbird School of Global Management, strengthening global leadership capability and cross-border business understanding. Available options include the Master of Leadership and Management (MLM), delivered fully online, and the Master of Global Management (MGM), offered on campus.
Students may choose from two advanced master’s options:
- Masters of Leadership and Management (MLM), delivered fully online
- Masters of Global Management (MGM), offered on-campus
The accelerated pathway enhances global exposure, leadership depth, and career mobility, preparing graduates for senior roles in entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, innovation management, and international business environments.
Practical Learning Experience
With a strong emphasis on real-world applications, the program includes capstone projects, hands-on labs, and electives in machine learning, digital signal processing, human-computer interaction, and more—ensuring students graduate job-ready and innovation-driven.Â
Note: Final year at ASU and dual degree eligibility depend on successful credit transfer and approval by Arizona State University. Program details may vary based on academic progress.
