Launching on 4 July 2026, the Future Innovators Scholarship marks the 250th anniversary of American independence and Pakistan’s approaching 80th year. It is a commemorative investment in academic excellence, global engagement and leadership.
It identifies students who combine outstanding academic achievement with leadership potential and a genuine drive to contribute to their communities and country.

THE SCHOLARSHIP

Fully funded. For all four years.

NIT awards 25 fully funded undergraduate scholarships every year for ten consecutive years; building a community of 250 Future Innovators with an aggregate value of USD 5 million.
Each award covers the complete four year duration of an undergraduate degree at NIT, for students admitted to any discipline, including engineering, business, computer science and social sciences.

THE FUTURE INNOVATORS CIRCLE

One cohort joins. The Circle grows.

Starting with Cohort I in 2026, every year adds 25 new students to a connected generation of young leaders; building Pakistan’s most influential undergraduate community, 250 members strong by 2036.
Membership is permanent and brings access to the Annual Summit, ongoing mentorship, and the chance to co create community initiatives, social projects and campus programs under the Future Innovators banner, with full institutional support.
Once a Future Innovator, always a Future Innovator.

HOW TO APPLY

A clear, merit based path

Applications are reviewed through a competitive, four stage selection process. Submit everything by 10 August 2026.

Verification of citizenship, NIT admission status and academic qualification requirements.

Assessment of transcripts, qualifications and extracurricular standing.

Holistic review of the personal essay, letters of recommendation and 90 second pitch.

Final selection and approval by the NIT Scholarship Committee.

FIS is NIT’s flagship undergraduate scholarship, launching 4 July 2026. It awards 25 fully funded scholarships per year across ten cohorts, with a total program value of USD 5 million. Beyond financial support, students join an exclusive development program with masterclasses, certifications, mentorship and lifelong membership in the Future Innovators Circle.
Full tuition for the complete four year duration of your undergraduate program at NIT, plus access to masterclasses, ASU backed certifications, the Future Innovators Thesis and the Future Innovators Circle alumni network.
Any Pakistani citizen who has secured, or is in the process of securing, admission to an undergraduate program at NIT. FIS is open to students in any discipline.
Completed higher secondary education (Matric + Intermediate, A Levels, IB, or equivalent) with a minimum of 80% marks or a 3.0 GPA equivalent, and no educational gap between qualifications.

A completed application form, academic transcripts (Matric and Intermediate / A Level / IB / equivalent), CNIC or B Form, a personal essay of up to 1,000 words, two letters of recommendation, and a 90 second pitch. Evidence of extracurricular achievements is optional but recommended.
You may use AI for research, brainstorming or organising your thoughts, but your final submission must be entirely in your own voice. AI generated or AI assisted final content results in disqualification.
Record a 90 second pitch answering “Why am I the perfect fit for the Future Innovators Scholarship Program?” It must be recorded in person by you; no voiceovers or AI avatars. Accepted formats are MP4 or MOV, maximum 100MB, with good lighting and clear audio.
Two academic or professional contacts, for example a teacher, principal, department head or professional mentor, who can speak to your academic ability, character and leadership. Family members are not eligible.
Through a four stage, merit based process: eligibility screening, academic review, a holistic application and merit review, and final approval by the NIT Scholarship Committee. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a panel interview.
A minimum CGPA of 2.75 every semester, alongside adherence to the NIT Student Code of Conduct and active participation in Future Innovators Circle activities. Those who fall below the threshold receive academic support and may be subject to review by the Scholarship Committee.
No. The scholarship covers continuous enrolment in your undergraduate program at NIT only. It does not extend to exchange semesters or transfers to partner universities, including ASU.
