Fatima Malik
Fatima Malik served as Program Head, Economics, at the School of Business, BNU, bringing nearly two decades of teaching experience and academic leadership in the field of economics. She holds an M.Phil in Public Policy and Development Economics from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore.
Her research career reflects a strong commitment to advancing public policy and economic development in Pakistan. She has served as a Consultant for the United Nations Development Program on the Punjab Growth Strategy 2031, and as Co-Principal Investigator on the Human Security Index, funded by the United States Institute of Peace, as well as on the Agenda for Tax Reforms, supported by the RASTA Competitive Grant Project 6.0, PIDE. She is also a contributing author of Pakistan: Reforming an Inefficient and Inequitable Tax System, published by Vanguard, Lahore, a work that examines structural challenges in Pakistan's taxation framework and offers policy recommendations for reform. Beyond her research, Fatima Malik is an active contributor to public discourse and institutional service. She has facilitated multiple workshops on Sustainable Development and Climate Action in collaboration with WWF Pakistan, and has been invited as a speaker and moderator at several policy events, including a book launch on institutional instability in Pakistan and a report launch on social security programs in South Asia organized by the South Asia Alliance for Poverty Eradication.
