In Fall 2026, the National Institute of Technology welcomes its founding batch of graduate students. As Pakistan’s first American university, powered by Arizona State University, NIT is marking this milestone with its most generous scholarship package to date — every admitted graduate student receives substantial tuition support, guaranteed.
Applicable programs:
Founders’ Scholarship — 50% Tuition Waiver for Every Admitted Student
All students admitted to NIT graduate programs for Fall 2026 are automatically awarded the Founders’ Scholarship, a 50% waiver on tuition fee for the full duration of the program. No separate application is required — the award is confirmed in your admission offer letter.

Future of Pakistan Scholarship — Up to 79% Off Tuition
As Pakistan enters its 79th year, NIT is investing in the people who will define its next chapter. Admitted graduate students are eligible for the Future of Pakistan Scholarship, offering up to 79% off tuition fee.
For Women
In support of women’s empowerment, all women admitted to NIT graduate programs in Fall 2026 are automatically awarded the Future of Pakistan Scholarship at 79%.
For All Other Applicants
Awarded on merit, based on a holistic review of academic history and professional work experience. Applications are evaluated by the Graduate Scholarship Committee, and the awarded percentage is stated in the admission offer letter.
How It Works
- Apply for Admission: Submit your application at admission-nit.effii.app/application.
- Admission Decision: Applications are reviewed as per the standard graduate admission process.
- Scholarship Award: The Founders’ Scholarship is applied automatically; Future of Pakistan awards (merit track) are decided by the Graduate Scholarship Committee. Both are stated in the admission offer letter.
- Offer Acceptance & Initial Payments: Accept the offer and pay the admission fee and security deposit (not covered by the scholarship).
- Application of Scholarship: The scholarship is applied to your tuition fee from your first semester.

Need-Based Financial Aid
NIT is committed to supporting deserving students through a transparent and well-structured need-based financial aid system. Awards are granted to admitted students who demonstrate genuine financial need through a comprehensive review of their financial circumstances.
Required Documents
- Statement of Special Circumstances
- Bank Statements (All accounts used in the household)
- Utility Bills (Past 6 Months)
- Proof of Residence (attach rental agreement if applicable)
- Tax Returns of Parents/Guardians
- Family Registration Certificate (FRC)
- Previous Educational Scholarship or Aid Letters (if applicable)
- Educational Documents of Siblings (latest fee challans and any scholarship/aid letters received from schools)
- Three (3) most recent salary slips (for employed parents/guardians)
- Property ownership/inheritance documents for houses, plots, agricultural land, flats, shops
How to Apply for Need-Based Financial Aid
- Submit Admission Application: The applicant must first submit the admission application and pay the application processing fee.
- Completion of Need-Based Financial Aid Application: Applicants must visit the designated Need-Based Financial Aid link and complete the full application form, by entering the “Applicant Tracking ID” and Upload all required supporting documents in clear, scanned format (scanner preferred)
- Document Verification & Committee Review: Applications will be reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee on a weekly basis. The committee may request clarification or additional documentation if required.
- Offer Letter & Financial Aid Communication: If approved, the financial aid decision and the extent of tuition fee support will be clearly stated in the official offer letter. Upon acceptance of the offer letter, the applicant must complete the required fee payments as communicated.
Kinship Policy
The kin of student (brother, sister, husband, wife, father, mother, son and daughter) are allowed tuition fee waiver of 20% for all kin. The kinship fee waiver shall be applicable to new candidate (kin) getting admission and it is not transferable.
The kinship tuition fee waiver is applicable only after the completion of the formal admission process by the new candidate (kin). The process shall be as follows:
- Admission Offer & Acceptance: The kin must first secure admission on merit and formally accept the admission offer issued by the NIT.
- Payment of Admission & Security Fee: Upon acceptance of the offer letter, the kin is required to pay the admission fee and security deposit in full. These payments are mandatory and not covered under the kinship fee waiver.
- Activation of Kinship Fee Waiver: Once the admission and security fees have been paid, the kinship fee waiver shall be activated. The 20% kinship fee waiver shall be applied to the tuition fee.
Terms & Conditions
- Scholarships apply to the tuition fee only; the admission fee and security deposit are excluded.
- Scholarships are applicable to the Fall and Spring semesters; they do not extend to the Summer semester.
- Scholarships are valid for the standard two-year program duration, subject to maintaining a minimum CGPA of 3.00 and good disciplinary standing.
- The Founders’ Scholarship and the Future of Pakistan Scholarship apply to Fall 2026 (founding batch) admissions only.
- NIT reserves the right to amend scholarship terms; the admission offer letter is the final authority on individual awards.
